INTERIM HEALTHCARE AWARDS PARAPROFESSIONALS OF THE YEAR

November 21, 2006
Sunrise, Florida

Sunrise, Florida, November 21, 2006 - Three Interim HealthCare employees received the distinction of National Paraprofessional of the Year by Interim HealthCare Inc. This honor is given to those individuals who have been nominated by their office and who have consistently exemplified the HEART qualities of Interim HealthCare Paraprofessionals - Honorable, Experience, Ability, Reliability, Training throughout the past year.

Alvina Ramon of Bryan, Texas has been a Certified Nursing Assistant with Interim HealthCare for 3 years. During that time, her office and "teammates" have come to rely on her respect for confidentiality and solid decision making when providing services to patients and clients. Although her C.N.A was not a requirement to continue her work at Interim, she wanted to enhance her knowledge and ability to provide services to patients, so she attended night classes to qualify. Alvina's skill level and her reliability, has also meant that the RNs feel comfortable delegating tasks to carry out minor wound care and medication programs within the scope of Texas law, extending the scope of services we can provide.

Ernestine Yates, Home Health Aide, has been employed with the Interim HealthCare office in Ahoskie, North Carolina since 1997. During her tenure, she has faced many challenges in providing services and this year was no exception. One of her patients was in distress when she arrived. While it would have been easy to think it was indigestion, Ernestine knew the warning signs and immediately called the rescue squad and the patient's family members. Without Ernestine's wise decision making, this patient would not have survived this incident.

Linda Gills-Washington, Home Health Aide, has been employed with Interim HealthCare Columbus East, Ohio for 10 years. She is uniquely gifted in caring for some of the office's more challenging clients. Linda has been successful in caring for clients that are non-English speaking despite being unfamiliar with their language and has helped in hospice and behavior management situations that seemed without solution. Linda seems to have a way to provide care and brings it all together for the benefit of those we serve.

"All three winners deserve recognition for the hard work, compassion and dedication they bring to this position, their clients and the families they serve every day," said Barbara McCann, Chief Clinical Officer of Interim HealthCare, Inc. "They consistently go beyond what is required, in order to accomplish their job. We salute their outstanding contribution to improving people's lives."
