Looking for a New Career?

If you have a kind heart and a gentle touch, we have the job for you.
Interim HomeStyle Services gives you a chance to make a difference in the lives of others. You'll help people with day-to-day activities such as bathing, preparing meals, shopping and friendly companionship.

What You Need To Know.
Interim HomeStyle Services caregivers help elderly, disabled, and ill persons live in their own homes instead of in a health facility. Most work with clients who need more extensive care than family or friends can provide or who don't have someone living nearby. In general, home health aides (or comparable position titles) provide health-related services such as bathing, washing hair, helping with exercises, monitoring that the individual has taken his or her medication, In contrast, homemakers provide mainly housekeeping support such as making beds, shopping and preparing meals and vacuuming and light dusting. Companions provide social support such as reading stories or helping someone write letters to friends or family. The daily routines of staff may vary. They may go to the same home every day for months or even years. However, many of our staff works with a number of different clients, each job lasting a few hours, days, or weeks. Interim HomeStyle Services caregivers sometimes visit four or five clients on the same day.

A large number of job openings are expected due to the substantial growth of older people. Home care is expected to be one of the fastest growing occupations through the year 2008.

Interim HomeStyle Services staff like to help people and do not mind hard work. They are responsible, compassionate and cheerful. They are also tactful, honest, and discreet because they work in private homes.

Companions also present employment opportunities for active senior adults. Today's older adults are healthier and more vital than years ago. They understand the special needs of aging and it gives them an opportunity to make a valuable contribution. Many retired health care workers are finding new meaning to their lives by becoming a companion to someone who needs a little extra support.
